I adopted three Chows that all came from the same situation. First was Chewy (Blackie) I adopted him in August of 2015. He was scared of everything, his coat was in horrible condition. He had pretty much come straight to me from the situation with only a brief stop at the shelter. In December of 2016 I became aware that 2 of Chewys "sisters" We're at your shelter and had been since July oder 2015. Of course I had to go meet them. I was quickly approved for adoption and reunited Chewy and his sisters Maddie ( Goldie) and Arizona ( Daffney). They're all doing wonderful! Chewy is no longer afraid of the world the ladies are slowly becoming more bold. I give them all the time they need. There's no hurry. I can tell the shelter workers really cared for them. The ladies weren't matted and didn't smell like all the other dogs I've rescued from other shelters. This is truly a one of a kind place.

I enjoy reading the e-edition of your newsletter. I posted your site link on my Facebook page, to remind people that our four legged friends need to be remembered everyday of the year. We are their voices.

My family and I were from out of town and were very interested in one of the shelters dogs. Bailey was such a good fit. The shelter was beyond friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for adding another member to our family.

Dear All, We adopted a wonderful puppy from your shelter earlier this summer. He has become the constant companion to our other dog, Grete, and a friend to all of our three cats (he has finally stopped herding them around!). I wanted to thank you for the work you do and especially for your no-kill policy. I noticed when I was looking at your adoptable cats that you have a number of cats that are FIV+. I'm so glad you decided to give these cats a chance. I had an FIV+ cat--a stray I found after he had been hit by a car--for more than 12 years: a happy, healthy, loving being. Your caring attitude toward all animals--especially those who are most vulnerable--is really admirable. Thank you so much for our new family member. And thank you even more for all the work you do every single day. Marta

Just wanted to say Thank You for taking the time to answer my questions on a breeder in your area and steering me in the right directions to get the information I needed to make a decision on the puppy. God Bless your organization and continue the good work you do . Denny Stambaugh Gettysburg, Pa.
