Went for the very first time to the shelter. Myself and my kids really enjoyed spending time with our soon to be best friend. We are now waiting til the day we can bring our wonderful dog, whom we found on your beautiful site, home next week.

Looks like we are about to get a new granddog! If all goes well with Picasso's "surgery" today, son Jim plans to adopt him on Friday! We will welcome him with loving, patient and understanding hearts! A rescuer of and lover of all sorts of animals from hamsters to horses, we are thrilled that Jim is giving Picasso another, more positive, shot at a good doggie life! They will end up being best of buddies! We will meet you soon, Picasso! Can't wait! Dave and Kathy Campbell

We'd send a pic if we could but we just wanted to thank you for our Nala (female pocket boxer). She had a very rough start when we brought her home from Petsmart and had to stay a couple days at the vets office. She was even sent home on a hope and a prayer. But after a lot of love care she got better. She now's weighs in at 43 pounds and her new vet loves her. She has a crate full of toys which houses her food dish and not much else. She geocaches with us when its warm enough and even her own traceable. She li es with three cats and a parakeets besides her three humans. She enjoys daily exercise and car rides. Thank you for all the love wiggles and slobber. Lol

Hi Guys, just a not to let you know, we got Eve almost 3 weeks ago and she is so loving. She is not as timid and is learning new tricks. If this weather ever breaks we will come for a visit. Eve likes our cat Baby and loves our bed. She is learning about the deer that visit. You guys are great. Thanks Carol and Cody.

I have always enjoyed the site & coming down to the shelter & see the dogs & cats. I have a W.R.H.S. support plate on the front of my car. A few weeks ago, I had Tasha, female Chihuahua, put to sleep. She had gone blind & was losing her hair. I had taken her to Dr. Waldo, with a swollen hind leg. It was broken & he said it wouldn't heal. Photos of her are on my Facebook page. She was 84 in dog years. Happy New Year.
