Robin Compton and our Board of Directors are at it again with a goal of raising $50,000 in support of our operation in caring for lost, abandoned, homeless and neglected dogs & cats of Lawrence County. Your financial support is put to immediate use in caring, sheltering, feeding and providing medical care.
Robin Compton serves on our volunteer Board of Directors and stays outside with his dogs (mostly Huskies) to raise awareness and funding for White River Humane Society. We rely heavily on public donations to be able to provide shelter and care for lost, abandoned and homeless dogs and cats found in Lawrence County, Indiana. He is committed to staying for 30 days... but we can shorten his stay by reaching our fundraising goal of $50,000 which will allow us the opportunity to pack up and send Robin and his doggies back home.
Animal sheltering is VERY expensive. We have veterinary bills, medical supplies and preventatives such as flea/tick and heartworm, staff to pay to ensure the animals are cared for, insurance, utilities, food, etc. We are not fully funded by tax payer dollars. In fact, less than 25% of our funding comes from government contracts. We MUST have donations from the public for our operation to survive. Our adoption fees DO NOT cover the amount of money we invest into each animal to prepare them for adoption and we need your support now more than ever.
We need volunteers to donate time to be on site at RESCUE ROBIN to collection donations. Click this link to sign up for a volunteer shift.
We need volunteers to bring dinner to Robin, to make sure he has a nice meal each day he is out in the elements at "Camp Husky." Click this link to sign up to bring Robin a meal.
We need donations to reach our fundraising goal of $50,000 to support our shelter. We have struggled financially this year due to rising costs of care and need this goal to be met so we can continue offering services. PLEASE CLICK THIS LINK TO DONATE.
